Nature in Mind Mission

Reconnecting Humanity with Nature

Our Mission for Employee Wellbeing,
Healthier Work Cultures & a Biodiverse Planet

Leaf

We are living in turbulent times.

The climate crisis, ever-increasing loss of biodiversity, and a huge epidemic of mental (ill)health are progressively confronting our daily lives and threatening our very existence.
We believe that at the root of these challenges is humanity’s broken relationship with Nature.
Our mission is to offer a pathway to heal that human-nature disconnect.

We are part of the
Web of Life

Leaf

We all have to reduce our carbon footprints if we are to mitigate the frightening effects of climate change, but protecting and preserving a biodiverse planet is equally essential for humanity’s survival.

We are nature, and even in the 21st century, an interconnected part of the Earth’s web of life.
However, when we act as though we are not part of this finely balanced ecosystem and instead see Nature as separate from us - at best a beautiful backdrop to our more important lives, or at worst just a resource to exploit for profit - we make decisions that go against our best interests.

Humans have evolved to thrive in a natural environment.

A stronger Human-Nature connection is good for us, good for business, and good for the planet!

Humans have evolved to thrive in a natural environment.
Indeed, 40+ years of scientific research from Japan, South Korea, Scandinavia, the United States and the UK have proven that spending engaged time connecting with nature exposes us to a multitude of potential physical and mental health benefits.

Further, through the psychological construct of nature-connectedness we know that we are more receptive to supporting pro-nature values and behaviours.

Transformative corporate experiences in nature

Science is increasingly demonstrating how beneficial the human-nature connection is for our wellbeing, our productivity, our relationships and our attitude to protecting/preserving our natural environment.

Drawing on this research we are committed to facilitating transformational experiences in nature that help employees and organisations access and explore their innate connection to the natural world through the context of nature’s wisdom.
